1. polyester onto epoxy definately doesnt last very long. A friend of
mine had an epoxy canoe he'd bought really cheap. When his wife
broke it in a flooded creek he 'repaired' it with polyester resin,
despite advice not to. Next flood we had to extract him from creek
when his 'repair ' literally fell off. Bits of the canoe were
recovered downstream. I'got a bit as a souvenir. He hasn't learnt his
lesson.
2.Sorry if my comment about 3 properties made me sound rich. We
livein one. It needs lots of work. I've been building the back
verandah for 5 years and its still only 1/3 finished. Property 2 is a
run down derelict that that we bought for the land when property
values plummeted by 40% . If you let the grass get to high some idiot
will set fire to it. Property 3 isn't ours and we get paid to do it .
So stephydro I'm just as poor and overworked as the rest of the
planet. Mind you life is so much fun I wouldn't want to miss a
minute of it.
3. proas . THose new photos in the files. are the first I've seen of
a decent proa thats made it into the water without looking
agricultural or totally unsailable. I'd love to see some photos under
sail.
4 Birdsmouth. I'll stay out of this one , but will probably try one
at some stage.
5 Progress on folding schooner has been slowdue to lack of time,
plywood, time and time. Now the kidsare back at school after summer
holidayswe seem to be running aruond all the time. I'm sure you all
know what I mean.
Well its saturday sosee you all later , I've got epoxy to play with.
Cheers Paul Day Waltzing Matilda.
