Re: Plans Purchased from Common Sense Boats
Hi there,
I purchased a set of Martha Jane plans from Common Sense Designs back
in 1999.
I was unlucky enough to purchase when CSD went "belly up" and I lost
my hard earned cash!
About 12 months later I discovered that CSD had been taken over by
Jerry Estes.
I emailed Jerry to make him aware of my plight & he very kindly fixed
me up with a set of MJ Plans.
Now I read this email thread. Hmmm, are my plans illegal copies?
The plans I recieved where supplied on ordinary paper (like
photocopies).
Hmmm, What a turn of events.
Cheers,
Mrfirkin

Perhaps you should ask him what you should do now? And ask again about the

Thank you for the fax Number correction. I do not have a phone
number for Mr Bolger. To further compound my errors I wrote don
CSB's numbers while scanning through my folders. I home people note
the corrections.
Thanks - Karl Gunnerson

I recently purchased plans for Martha Jane from Common Sense Boats.
I have since received a letter from the designer, Phil Bolger,
informing me that Common Sense Boats is not authorized to sell copies
of his plans.
I would urge other prospective builders to deal directly with Phil
Bolger & Friends, Inc, directly and avoid copy right infringement.
I am most disappointed with this turn of events.
Does anyone know of a legal way to obtain Bolger Plans on-line?
