Re: Northeast Bolgerados in the white stuff......
Peter,
I am currently serving as Head Deacon at our church. Does that
count? Or, should we be going past the laity and seek the higher rank
of ordained clergy? The only boat I blessed in the past was claimed
by Hurricane Bob.

Peter,
Never mind whether the people survived the snow (24" on Pointy
Skiff + 5" last night = 29" of snow melt before trout fishing :-(
all of the boats came through fine! I took the precaution of moving
the car out of the garage to get Micro in prior to the dumping! I
keep telling my wife that the snow is good for the car in that it
is "the poor man's car wash".
These March snows melt pretty quickly anyway. With daytime temps in
the 40's predicted it is a good time to gather supplies and cut out
parts prior to glueing.
Its now time to fit the spray rails/rub strips and upper gunwale
logs which I glued up in the basement during the Northeaster.
Once I get my web page software reinstalled, I will then
repost the current picture of the building process.
As for the Champlain Messabout, I found a very nice Zinfandel
from the San Louis Obisbo region of California that will be
delightful with cheese, crackers, grapes, bread, etc. . . while
watching the sun set over Champlain. The only question that remains
is will it be in Diablo or in Micro?
Time to get to work. :-)

I hope everyone survived that huge dumping of snow down there(we
only had a dusting of 10cm) and that spring comes early for you
all!!With so much snowfall,I guess it would be safe to say that the
Lake Champlain water levels will be right up there!!!And this is very
good news for everyone attending the LAKE CHAMPLAIN BOLGER
MESSABOUT(August 4 and 5) since little bays and coves may not be too
full of late summer weed growth!
Best of luck and continued success to all those rushing to complete
their Bolger projects in time for the Messabout.Maybe a priest could
be scrounged up for a multiple new boat launching/blessing?!Besides,a
nice full bodied red sacramental wine goes surprising well with
spaghetti aglio e olio!!
Sincerely,
Peter lenihan, luxuriating in the lengthening days of sunlight and
mighty glad to have access to a computer once again, here on the shores
of the ice-choked St.Lawrence.......
