[bolger] Pirogue photos in vault

To all,
I've loaded the four best of my CSD Pirogue photos into a folder in the
vault. There had been some interest expressed in the offcenterboard, so
I included a detail of that. The sail was built using a Sailrite kit
with black 3.5 oz. Dacron. The Jolly Roger was sketched on and cut out
of a half-yard of white self-adhesive insignia material. The entire boat
was originally finished bright, but I had to bow to reality and paint
the bottom and the chines after only one season. The rudder is to plan,
and is the worst feature of the boat (besides the weight) because it
doesn't stash inside for rowing. I eliminated about a foot of floatation
on either end and placed lockers in them--you can see the edge of one in
the picture of the offcenterboard case. If I were to choose to built
another boat to this plan I would make every effort to reduce the
weight. As built, my boat is really too heavy to car-top. I will forward
these and other photos to everyone who posted a request, probably
tomorrow. Thank you all for your interest,
daavid
Thank you for sharing the photos and info.
