Re. WDJ- Bill of Materials
Thanx for the reminder, Bjorn. I know if I scrolled back far enough I'd find
your original response to the material question. For obvious reasons I've
kept all your postings. Your material estimates are greatly appreciated. I
think home boat builders typically share a certain leaning toward denial
about just how much material (=$$) goes into building a boat. This is not
only for our own piece of mind, but to help prevent significant others from
going balistic. Once you're under sail with your loved one(s) under blue
skies in fair winds everyone agrees it was all worth it (whatever "it" was).
At this very moment the Bay of Fundy is in the throws of a wild north
westerly. Massive rolling white caps as far as I can see. Easy to fantasize
WDJ storm reefed running through the peaks and troughs toward the Minas
channel. I can imagine simalar conditions on the Skagerrak. Eagerly await
your launch pictures.
