Re: [bolger] Has Anyone Built a Super Brick?
Mark
I have also been interested in the Super Brick and have inquired if any one
has build one. I contacted both Mr Bolger and several other sources that
had information on the Super Brick. I told that someone had started one but
no one had any information on if the project was ever finished. No one
could give me the name of the person that started it. The Super Brick is an
interesting design but it would be limited to only slow moving rivers (Max
speed 5 knots) and other Boldger design that may interest you is his
WaterVan a kind of water bound Winebego. There are if pictures in the files
section of this group. If you are interested in more information contact me
off line.

After reading the 'Perfect Boat' thread, I dug out the GP-16 study
plans and gave them a more thorough read than I had the first time.
I really like the idea of putting along on rivers in an extremely
shallow draft boat, but if my bride is ever going to accompany me on
the adventure there will have to be a regular mattress. I remembered
Super Brick and pulled out Boats With an Open Mind to compare the
designs.
Does anyone know if a Super Brick has ever been built, or is it still
a design exercise with the purpose of 'affronting right thinking
boatmen?'
Thanks to all for the posts -- catching up on the day's posts is
