Transom thickness
The 2 inch transom thickness on my Sneakeasy is just about the absolute
maximum that will fit the clamps on my 15 hp Yamaha or 8hp Evinrude. The
Yamaha is very difficult to squeeze on as it is. At one point I had added
an additional sacrificial 1/4 inch transom pad to take the clamp abuse, but
as I recall I had to grind almost all of it off to fit the Yamaha clamps
(the Evinrude was OK). I'd stick to a 2 inch thick transom for a maximum.
