The TRUTH about glue

It is pretty clear that for every individual
with a success story for a particular glue,
there is another guy who has had it fail.

For every "expert" who recommends one, there
is an "expert" recommending against it.

In all my research on glue, this is always
the result- no one agrees.

That is why my boat has Weldwood, P. L. Premium,
and epoxy in it- I am going to find out what
works and what doesn't.

But then, can you blame a failure on the glue?
what about how it was applied? and the type
of wood? Will the hundreds of brass screws in my
boat, along with a few taped seams, keep me
from having any "failures?"

I have seen "bad batches" of paint- can a glue
failure be due to a "bad batch?"
