Pat,
Your experience is living proof of the accuracy of the Murphy's Law
which states "No good deed goes unpunished."
Thanks for the info you've shared and thanks for the good
intentions. I hope to see more of your posts. Maybe we can get Mr.
Betts to 'address the group' on what he's doing. I'd be interested
in hearing it. If it isn't on line with the Bolger theme, it would
certainly be welcome in the Smallboats group.
As we used to say in the Army when things didn't go right -- "Take
two salt tablets, put your mind in neutral, and .... drive on!"
Regards,
Mark

Well I'm back too try to straighten out some misunderstandings.
First of all Jim Betts, designer of GP-16 is a "Great Guy".
He says he says "I am always glad to hear from people about
GP-16 by email, snail-mail, fax and phone at any time."
He can be reached atPointpubco@...
Anybody who thought I was having problems with Jim, or that I thought
he was anything other than a "Wonderful Person", or that he was the
reason I unsubscribe from the group misunderstood me.
He had written me an email stating "I have been trying to get off the
Bolger thing. Only so many hours in a day! All the stuff keeps
showing up on my email - 25 today!"
I apparently misunderstood that as he was getting too much "Junk"
mail from the Bolger group.
So, trying to help, I posted my message asking people not to send him
email, unless interested in buying plans.
Apparently that got misinterpeted by some that he was not a nice guy.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
In my attempts to try to get information out on his wonderful GP-16,
and then trying to keep him from getting "Junk" mail,
I screwed everything up, and have elicited some negative attack
emails to him.
I screwed up.
Jim Betts is a "Very Nice Guy", and does want people co contact him
regarding his GP-16. I like him. "Wonderful Guy"
Whatever the misunderstaning was, it was my fault.
Anyone out there who may have sent him a nasty email might consider
a brief note of appology.
Any nasty notes that anyone might want to sent to me for being
such a screw up can send them to me.pateson@...
Sorry to anyone I may have mislead or offended Especially Jim
It was not my intent, but sometimes, the best intentions go bad.
