A recent post mentioned ease of cleanup of various types of glue. I
figured I'd pass along this tip, even though it's becoming common
knowledge. The technique has saved me MANY hours of work.

By FAR the easiest way to clean up epoxy is to just let it cure, then
remove any drips or excess with an electric heat gun and scraper.
Epoxy softens at around 150 degrees F, and can be scraped off easily
when hot without damaging the underlying wood. There is no effect on
the structural strength of the joint; the heat doesn't penetrate
significantly if you're halfway careful, and the System 3 folks say
that the glue can be heated and cooled (within reason) without
affecting its strength. I use a pro-prep scraper with a standard $25
Milwaukee heat gun, but the equipment isn't critical. A hairdryer
will also work, it's just slower.
