David, Its good to know that a chap like yourself gives all the
wretches and despots in your area a chance to experience sailing (
and I presume capsizing/ swamping. Watch out for the despots, you
never know when they'll turn on you. You could allways push them
overboard, I've heard that the coast guard tracks your every
movement , so they'll pick em up. remember the wd40/crc etc with old
stainless bolts. when thy get tight unscrewing, screw them back up,
wash the thread, and start again. Those drains are called venturi's.
Make sure they're left closed and check them frequently. When sailing
slowly they may be yhe source of the water that is making you go even
slower.
