Re: Can't Epoxy, Tried Poly
I don't know the shelf life of Gorilla glue however I have been warned
that once it is opened I should squeeze out all the air at the end of
a glueing session. Moist air in the bottle will cure the glue in the
bottle. I have a bottle of Elmer's Probond that has been sitting on
the shelf for over a year. It is still usable. There is only an ounce
or so used up.

I have a local source for 8 oz Gorilla glue for $10.00 for 8
oz jars and $14.75 for 16 oz. That seems like a good price
and I am thinking about buying several. Does anyone know
the shelf life on Gorilla glue?
TIA

Thanks for all the advice about glues. Today I actually tried the Elmer's
brand of polyurethane glue, ProBond.
It appears to be amazing stuff. Easy to apply. Foamed up as advertised and
seems to be gap filling. This is good news for me because my carpentry skills
are minimal, to be kind.
Can now continue to work on the amas for my Windsprint. Need to cut out, butt
block and attach bottoms and decks. Still have to figure out how to attach
them to the boat.
