In answer to three questions. Last name
pronounced the same as baby with an R. Pick you own pronunciation on
nantantia. I sometimes slur the tia and other time say the T. This
is a Latin name used for the common shrimp. My wife liked shrimp
boats. I could not satisfy her with calling my boat "shrimp
boat", so I chose the latin equivalent. Vince, my door is always open
to anyone nutty enough to build a boat. I will not be leaving until
mid-dec. Brad
Update----Been very busy and little time for the boat. I did however
get the tempered glass foreward windows in this last week. One on each
side and one in the front door. Plex goes in all the others, this in
the spring when I return. Finally got around to adding extra moulding
to the fore and aft roof edges and glued the roof down permanent last
evening. This is somewhat dif than bolger designed, but is on there
forever nonetheless.
Inside I have made up four large roll out drawers that go under the
settees, these on castors. I have four more to go that fit under the
raised floor I designed in in the pilots compartment. In here I raised
the floor on both sides so that a standard adjustable office chair from
sams club could sit there. They will of course be bolted down. With
all these neat drawers low, the center of gravity will be kept low and
clutter will be nonexhistant. For some of you perfectionist you would
laugh at how these went together. 1/4" ply, strips of wood and screws.
Good enough for holding bedding and such. The fronts will of course
be finished much better. Have a good winter and all. Brad
