Two Bricks in one.
Greetings,
About Double Brick: Take two Bricks and join them with a two
foot wide (long?) connector that has a hatch on top and watertight
storage within. Grout (the connecting piece) is wider on the bottom
than the top to make the chines match and join the bottoms together.
You use only one leeboard, mounted on Grout. The result is an
eighteen foot rectangular scow cat-schooner. The hardware to fasten
it all together is a little strange, but it all looks do-able.
I got my plans from CSB. I believe I saw Bernie's DB in Portland
many years ago. I'm not 100% sure because I was too busy looking over
his Bolger Perfect Skiff.
Bink.
