Re: [bolger] Bolger on Bolger Revisted

John:

FYI, the rant that you quoted was not from PCB, but from Suzanne. The two
styles are unmistakable. I guess that, being his wife, she has the right to
speak for him, but I just wanted to make the distinction.

Knowing that PCB Himself occasionally contributed to this Group
before I joined, curiosity took me back through the Archives. This is
what he had to say on May 13, 1999 (message 1156. Brought to you as a
public service. :-)

Subject: [bolger] Bolger on Bolger

To keep things short:
- Big head here from seeing you having fun with our designs.
- More in the pipeline...
- Good to see this much time wasted on a good cause!
On a more serious note:
- All our designs are available directly from us.
- You buy them from us, we can support you and your project.
- Nobody but PB&F has any exclusive rights to our plans.
- As an old friend Payson is in good standing selling non-exclusively
some of our older designs.
- Big ticket plans of 'ours'(?!) from down-under are beyond our
comprehension, as brokers' notions of mark-up are their's to explain.
Buy directly from us!
- Common Sense Designs continues to owe seriously!
- Is CSB just a shell game?
Who are they??
And what's it with using our photos - Microtrawler - and wild eyed
performance claims - Idaho -...?
We hear complaints that plans-reproductions look like warmed-over
copies of copies. You do this and the plans won't scale reliably
anymore!!
We just had to cover a European customer's losses who had sent money
to
Oregon but received no goods...
- Support the folks who do the work! Ergo, new mantra one more time:
Buy directly from...us.
- Next time we'll have nicer things to add to the discussion.
Apart from these few lows, the point is to have fun building and using
the designs.
