Re: Micro ventilation
Hi Col,
I'm not much of a painter or artist but here goes my attempt:
The vent is essentially a wedge shaped affair fastened to the
bulkhead. It is not designed to move. The outside(forward) opening
should be screened to keep the bugs out.It can be put together on the
work bench and attached in one piece. Some folks have even used
Plexiglass instead of the plywood to allow more light into the
cabin. It reminds me of those little roof vents sometimes seen on vans
only this one is installed vertically instead of horizontally. And
yes,it is the same for the little one in bulhead D.
Perhaps if you go to the files section and scroll down to near the
bottom and click on Lenihan,I think I have a picture there of the
cabin and vent.It has been a while since I looked and cannot recall if
it shows up.
Anyway,it really isn't difficult and a good look around the plans
will hopefully make it clearer.
Good luck with your MICRO and feel free to plumb the group for
help.....there are a few MICROLOGIST willing to pitch right in!
Sincerely,
Peter Lenihan, catching up like crazy with so many good posts, here on

Never having seen one, can anyone paint me a a verbal
picture describing the vent in bulkhead A? I thought it was
basically a hinged flap with a gasket around the edge, but the the
little shelf at the bottom has me thrown. (Left brain thinker) Is
there a bit more to it? (no doubt) Is the setup the same on bulkhead
D?
Yours in confusion,
