Correct me if I'm wrong, but I would rather see the discussion here more
inclusive (as long as it moves along) rather than fragmented into competing
groups. For instance, I would have loved to hear about the Bolger Oldshoe,
but it unfortunately split off. But, I don't have the time to listen in to
half a dozen groups.
Amen! Building small functional & practicle boats is what it's all about!
Designers be damned, but but keep the list centered on Phill & Jim, but allow
detours into other designes of small boats.
My family had 2 ply boats when i was a kid. An 8ft box scow-bow pram,(row &
1hp Seagull) and a 13ft utility-runabout (row & 15hp longshaft Evenrude). I
have many pleasant memories of teenage fun in these boats. In fact a
childhood friend i receiently came back in contact with by W.W.W. reminded me
of our fun in these boats just the other day. Build the simple boats give
them to kids and keep them fishing, rowing, sailing, and out of trouble with
the law i say....
