I suspect that the little gaffer referred to is the Herreshoff I love
so much. But it is known to some as the 12 1/2, for its waterline length,
and is 15 1/2' overall. It has been in production in fiberglass for a long
time, both by Cape Cod and by Doughdish, and is shockingly expensive- well
over $25,000.
