Bill,

I went through all the issues of the Chebacco News and compiled a
list of owners of boats that have been built or substantially
started, which I include below. It's a little confusing in places
because some hulls have changed hands, so there could be some
mistakes. In addition, I have listed only 1 hull by Story of each of
three constructions; he must have built more than that. I remember
that the Montgomery yard built one, but I missed the reference so it
may be missing as well. As it stands, I have 28 names on the list.

Peter suggests there are probably about 50 Chebaccos out there.

Hard to tell. Certainly hundreds of plan sets have been sold. I recently
asked readers of Chebacco news to tell me about their Chebacci, but only got
8 or 9 responses. I suspect, though, that Peter's in the right ballpark
with 50 - certainly if you count those that are still being built.
