I don't think you're required to be glued to the turn of the bilge :-)
At this time, I'm motoring her only. I have a polytarp rig under construction
and (many have asked) will report on her sailing abilities when have that
going.
I expect that the weight is needed down low only when pressed pretty hard.
Otherwise, I think we'll be able to get up and walk around, stick our heads
out to look at those square yards of grey plastic, etc :-) Oh, yes, pleae
remember that Labor Sugit has 300 lbs of water ballast, so she isn't
*exactly* like BW.

with a Birdwatcher type cabin. I know Bolger's concept is to have
the captain and crew sitting on the floor where they are acting as
ballast, but how good a view of the sail do you have from that
position? It seems that it would be hard to see the sail from within
the boat.
Thanks,

with a Birdwatcher type cabin. I know Bolger's concept is to have

list purposely. I seem to do it in the course of things at times, at best.
No Bolger designs. I've salivated over a number of them over the years, but
never built one of his. I'm the lad mentioned in BWAOM in the latter part of
the Sneakeasy chapter. Still salivate over that 'un. I nearly bought Ida
Little's Dugong (PCB Cruising Canoe) a couple of decades back, for beauty. I
know now that I'd not have enjoyed her long term, so I'm glad I never came to
terms with Ida.
I've built a couple of Michalak designs and currently have the first Michalak
Scram Pram, the one I call LABOR SVGIT, built by the Wil and Tim corp. out of
Houston TX.
I'd like to build a Tortoise as a tender for Labor Sugit, and probably have
all the required material, but I'm too busy trying to earn a living to
breathe.
Give a shout, mate, if you're coming near Tennessee. We'll show you a good
time.
