RE: [bolger] Plan swap
Hi,
seems to me that I remember that there is a Bolger
buy sell group on the web.

I really like that idea.  I have some plans I'd be interested in trading.

Just a thought, how about setting up folders in the files area for plans, boats, or books for sale or trade.  As long as those who post to it took responsibility to remove sold/traded items, it could be a valuable asset.

Greetings,
Great idea - swapping unbuilt plans.  I have a virgin Glen-l 10 plans set that I would swap for a micro plan set... or?? In addition, I have tried to think of a way to have a revolving library that could be handled through the list.  There are some books worth a read, but not worth owning forever. These could be lent out at the cost of 2 way shipping.... just a thought.  I have one on boatbuilding that I'll volunteer if there is any interest. Jim

First I am no lawyer. Secondly I am not cautioning anyone regarding
swapping plans because heres the thing.

Like when a library pays for a book and then lends this book at no
cost, when we buy a set of plans that include a license to build one
craft we own those plans (not the copyright) Hence, as owners of
property we can exchange them in a forum like this, for monetary or
other value. The only proviso being of course that only one boat is
built from that set of plans (unless other arrangements exist).

And like many other boat builders I have several plans that have gone
unused, including a set of Long Micro plans (I'm jumping the gun
straight to the big AS29!) So if any Aussies or others out there
willing to pay the postage I'd swap my Long Micro plans for
something.....

Chris B.

sunny queensland where its 25 degrees celsius, a little 10 knot wind
over the bay and at the start of winter...heh heh heh.
