The best way to communicate with PCB is probably by fax. With a
little research, I'll bet you can work out a way to do the faxing
over the internet and not even have to pay for a phone call. It will
certainly be a lot faster than 1 month.

For Bolger plans and examples, don't forget the Files secton of this
group and the Bolger2 group. There may be some of interest in the
Files of the boatdesign group as well.

Also, check out www.duckworks.com. There are articles about Bolger
boats and many links of interest in the Boat Index.

Look for the Square Boats home page

and the light schooner pages

Mr. Bolger has designed just under 600 boats. We may never get to see
all his designs. He has a perpetually unfinished website so maybe
someday we'll get to see many there. For now you can read past
articles he has published in magazines(MAIB and Woodenboat and
others), and some of his books are carried in libraries.

If you do a search at amazon.com it lists quite a number of books
there, but most are out of print. You can still get "Boats With an
Open Mind : 75 Unconventional Designs and Concepts". Others you may
have to hunt for.

Searching on the web is probably your best bet, as you will find info
on his most popular designs, and probably be able to find help from
other builders as well. The Payson's Instant Boat site has good info
and prices. I recently bought Birdwatcher plans for $60, and
blueprints were excellent quality (as far as being legible). Common
Sense Designs (or Boats, whatever) have cheap prices, but some people
have complained about 3rd generation copies. Of course you can get
all the plans from Mr. Bolger himself, but at a premium cost. The
Birdwatcher plans he selss are for $150. I ended up buying a Dovekie
instead after reviewing the plans, but if I were to build a BW,
perhaps I would feel better buying them from Mr. Bolger, knowing that
he provides support.

Good luck in your search.

some Bolger boats at:
www.instantboats.com

some boats of similar philosophy:
www.apci.net/~michalak
www.bateau.com

It can be hard to find info on the other Bolger boats not on the
Instant Boats web site.

Please bear with me and the posting as I am new to the list, have a
great deal of enthusiasm for Bolger boats and want to find out more.
Each Digest contains ordering information for boat plans but where do
I go to get a view of the boats to make a selection and to obtain
prices? I live in Panama and a letter from here to Gloucester and
return will use a full month plus. I’d like to save a little time.
