Phil,
Thanks. I have already checked out the files section and visited two
different home pages of Pirogues builders. Anything you wish you would have
done differently or would have added? Any thoughts on a rounded instead of
gabled deck?
Thanks,
Jim

James, You wont regret building Pirogue. I love mine. Have you tried typing
in "pirogue" On the Bolger group archive search and folowing the thread?
There are some good links, photos, ect. With your experience you should have
no trouble with construction. If you have any specific questions I'd be glad
to help Good luck! Phil T.

I've been following the Bolger group for about two months now and
find most of the messages very interesting and informative. I found
the group after deciding to build a Pirogue. I have built three
other small boats ( 2 six hour canoes and a kids dory) and have a
Stevenson Vacationer about 70% done. I plan to start the Pirogue
later this month and would enjoy hearing feed back from others with
this boat. I had seen the Surf befor the Pirogue but thought it a
little to heavy for car topping(atop my popup camper). Any insight
into Pirogue vs Surf would also be helpful. Keep in mind I already
have plans for Pirogue so don't hard sell the Surf as the Mrs.
doesn't understand archiving plans for the shear enjoyment of it.
Thanks,
