I've yet to try one, but Dave Carnell's method seems to make the most
sengvb(my cat is assisting me)sense.

In my opinion, the best way is to glass both sides at once
in Carnell's fashion. Look up his web site for directions.

Bruce:

You can temporarily screw a long (12 - 16 ft.) 2x4 along each edge (across
the joint) to keep the panels aligned while turning them over, but it is
much easier to just do it carefully. On the other hand, If you have a nice
flat surface, you can try doing both sides at once.

I like the fiberglass butt joints, but what's the best way to
turn the pieces over to do the second side? Most descriptions just
say "...carefully turn the piece over".
