[bolger] Re: bondo
Bondo is good for fairing the hull after you glass and sand etc. gives a nice smooth sandable finish and then paint - works really nice.

A couple of questions, please.
I'm building a Zydeco. This is my first boat and I need to know if I can
use Bondo on the inner seams. I've seen this mentioned, but no details, and
the context was not sufficiently clear for me to understand whether this is
a good idea or not. I'm using System 3 on all the surfaces while they are
flat. And I'm finding that the cure rate is very slow, about 24 hours to a
stage where I can handle the parts and a full 72 hours to total cure. Is
this normal?
The Zydeco is a learning project. If it floats, I want to build a Micro.

probably are. They would be a suitable filet to support a glass tape,
although you would have to use a compatible resin, probably polyester. The
polyester bond to wood is generally thought inferior to epoxy, 'though many
have used it (including me) on cheap boats.
