Re: Outboard motor security?
I don't know about locking, but I seem to recall Bolger (or someone
else?) advocating painting the outboard to match the boat. In addition
to looking good it is supposed to decrease value for the thieves.

I leave little of value in my boat, but taking the outboard home is a
real pain, and it is the most valuable loose equipment.
Wondering about leaving it mounted on my Micro, but with some sort of
hinged locking plywood cowl. I guess this would only deter vandels,
maybe not dedicated thieves, but vandels seem to be the more
prevalent around here.
Has anyone tried this approach, I would appreciate any ideas or tips?

real pain, and it is the most valuable loose equipment.
