Tennessee progress

Just wanted to keep the group up on my progress. I managed to get my
partial hull painted and turned over the past week. Per JB's
pictures of his AF4, I built a cart to move it around. What a
concept, thanks! Wished I'd done it for my Frolic. Moves around
very easily! I'm in the process of putting the cabin roof on as well
as working on a samson post this week. I'm trying to keep my site
updated ( www.dreamwater.net/cosailor ) and I apologize for the photo
quality but it's a cheapy digital and beats developing and film
cost. I'll keep my site going and save the space here on the Bolger
files.

The boat is really starting to look BIG! I think it was the right
choice for my wife and I. I have a marine head and holding tank on
order as well as the sink hand pump. Under the sink I'll build a
place for two 5 gal jugs, one filled to pump from and one to drain
into. The head holding tank is 13 gal. and will fit under the
cockpit seats connected to the head by about 3 foot of 2" hose. I'll
put in a thru-hull to supply the head with lake water. 13 gals is
supposed to be enough for 50 uses, enough for up to a week before
pump out. I'll use a manual pump for emptying.

Since we will always be on fresh water, we also will use a water
filter that is capable of 1 gal per minute to get drinking water from
the lake so we don't have to carry a lot to shower and drink. I
found them in a RV catalog a lot cheaper than a marine catalog. ( .5
micron and filters even viruses, plus a cap full of Chlorox just in
case.)

The head/shower basin will be about 4 inches deep and will hold
enough water for a shower and then I'll pump it out with a bilge hand
pump to another holding tank. We'll use a camp hot water shower unit
that has it's own pump that uses two small Coleman propane bottles
and 4 d-cells. The propane and batteries are suppose to last 40 - 5
minute showers at 1/2 gal per minute. We'll see....

Thats where I'm at and where I heading for the next few weeks.
