Re: [bolger] Re: Champlain design
According to a fax I recieved from Mr. Bolger in August of 1999, the plans
at that time were $300.00 US. Coincidentally, I just happened to have
ordered a set of the plans yesterday. With regard to Hans van Pelt, I
spoke with him last summer about the building of his Champlain. Hans
offered to print his notes about the building for a fee of $5.00 Canadian to
cover printing and mailing costs. I sent him a letter yesterday requesting
them. When I last spoke with Hans I was advised he doesnt use the Internet
Im not sure if this is still the case. His address is Box 40, Balderson,
Ontario, K0G 1A0, Canada.

There is an old post in the Bolger group that says one of the first
builders of Champlain, Han Van Pelt, had about 100 pages of material
on how HE built the Bolger Champlain. So far no luck reaching anyone
who was involved in that post, or Han Van Pelt. Does anyone in the
group have those notes?
Also, any idea how much the plans are for Champlain?
Wish Mr. Bolger used Email.
Shambala, my Escargot, is working wonderfully, by the way. I have
been spending my time on a small river near here and just love it!
