[bolger] Re: Champlain - and dory-cabin
At the risk of speaking for PCB, my recollection of Champlain is another of
the "Salon-cabin" (my impression) picnic cruisers on the 22-foot cutwater
shape hull, sorta like the Topaz.
As a rainy-day pastime, I have been reviewing my Glen-L dory plans with an
eye to adding an overnight cabin (forgive me everybody, but I just cannot
find an existing design which does it for me). It looks like I will need a
"pop-top" to get headroom for cooking, shaving (I know, I know, but 60-year
habits are hard to break!), etc. and still have a reasonable cabin profile
under way. Question: has anybody seen plans or design discussion for a
pop-top? I see Glen-L has a catalog of do-it-yourself RV and camper stuff -
has anybody seen this?
