Re: [bolger] Lestat is home,finally!

How else can boats under twenty feet get past the locks without using female
persuasion?

Bolgerados,
Well, after 14 days and 354 miles in my Micro"LESTAT",we finally
tied up at our quay at exactly 23:05(according to the Pesky Crew).
This last day getting home was something of a bummer as we ended
up being delayed for over 7 hours at the first two locks of the
St.Lawrence Seaway. It was certainly frustrating to be sitting in the
boat, waiting in the sun, while looking across the river at
Montreal......so close yet so long to get to.Adding to the fun was
having to lie like thieves to the lock master regarding the length of
my boat.(the Seaway Commission regulations prohibit vessels less than
20 feet from transiting the locks).Fortunately for me,the Pesky Crew
joined just bellow the first locks and through clever adjustment of
certain articles of clothing was able to use some of that female charm
just enough to bedazzel a crew of rough looking lock workers into
distraction.Sure, its a cheap ploy, and it pains me to no end when I
think that even if I stood naked in the cockpit I could get no
where, but what the hell.........a boy has to bring his boat home
somehow,no?
Anyway, the Lake Champlain Bolger Messabout was great and I will be
getting some pictures developed real soon. Then a nice juicey story
will follow.
But first I must sleep,it is late, and then catch up on so many
posts!
Sincerely,
Peter Lenihan, drained and filled, drained and filled so many times,I
can hardly type and this despite the fact the damned keyboard doesn't
want to stop rocking back and forth,on the shores, once again,of the
mighty St.Lawrence.............
