Thanks, Brian, for the pics of your river trip. The boat is beautiful.
In fact it sparked to life a possibility for retired dudes like me: to
take a craft like yours, with a bicycle aboard, and start cruisin'.
Might even find a place to filfill my life's dream: to build a tree
house!

Cheers,
Cliff

Not a tale of a Bolger boat, but of a Bolger inspired boat.

I built the Phil Theil Escargot over the past 17 months or so with
dreams of floating a local river with my 12 year old son. This past
week I spent 5 wonderful days and four nights on the Snohomish River
near Everett, Washington. This feeds into a series of sloughs as
well. I share with you my pictures, perhaps as inspiration for YOUR
boat building dreams. I will share more on my site later.. but for
now these pictures will give you some idea of the joy of this trip.
Several times a tear of joy came to my eye... joy for the beauty of
the place, the beauty of the experience, the time with my son on this
beautiful stretch of river.... all while floating and sleeping in a
boat WE made. A wonderful experience.
