Port Townsend

Hey there, West Coast boat nuts, the forecast is good (well, good enough,
anyway). Leaving at first light tomorrow, hope to be at the Boat Haven by
suppertime. I'll be there until about 7:00pm so if you're in the
neighborhood, give me a shout. I'll leave a note on the board with my slip
number when I get tied up.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again (for cinamon buns!)

Derek-

A quick answer: yes.

A lot of the activity at the festival is out on the water, and if you're
out on the water yourself you can see some beautiful boats in action, not
just sitting at the dock. I really enjoyed having a boat up there last
year.

Is there anything to be gained by bringing some sort of utilitarian boat? I
imagine the events are organised to suit people on foot, but wondered if a
floating viewing platform would bring benefits sufficient to outweigh the
hassle factor involved in carrying/ rowing it around?
