[bolger] Re: Mast lay-up

FYI David-

Under my tree is an empty box my DeWalt 677 power planer came in. Nobody
knows nothing is in the box.

I let you know how it works.

FBBB --

The first mast is laid up, and all 16 feet of it is laying in our
hallway.

5 "pumps" to prime both sides, 7 "pumps" plus thickener to glue. All
held together with about 20 3 inch sheet rock screws.

Under "the best is none too good," I chose a pair of sticks with
complimentary flaws (knots, bends, twists.) The resulting beam is (a
least while it's lying on the floor,) relatively straight, and many of
the flaws will be removed when it's rounded.

If this actually works, I'll have a good excuse to buy that DeWalt
powerplaner I was fondling at 2:30AM in Home Despot.

YIBB,

David
