dewalt 744 Noise
In regards to the noise of the Dewalt 744, I can't compare it to a
contractors saw (I've never used one), but everything I read says the
contractor saws are significantly quieter. The 744, and I assume most
saws like it, is pretty loud, very similar to a skill saw, so I seldom
use it at night when the kids are asleep. Every once in a while I'll
fire it up for a quick, 10 second cut, and nobody wakes up and the
neighbors don't complain. I have found it convienent to cut a bunch of
pieces on the table saw when I first get home from work or on the
weekends, and then work on those pieces when it's quiet, gluing,
sanding, etc.
