Jack,
Built a Ruben's Nymph and a Bee with an old B&D 8 inch bench top saw.
Had been dreaming & thinking about a 'GOOD' saw for some time. Had a lot
of things to consider, especially condensation & RUST.
The Ryobi started off a few years ago in the $1000.oo category. It has
come down in price, while the power and 'accommodation's have gone up. I
have had one for a couple of years now, thanks to the sale of Nymph.
Like it VERY much . . . especially the ALUMINUM top, rails,
attachments - - - NO RUST WORRIES.
That was MY concern. Can you beat the hell out of it and throw it in the
back of a pick-up and dump it at a job site ? NO !! Is it a 5 Hp 'slice
up a log' cabinet saw? Again NO. BUT if you give her reasonable care -
as you should ALL tools - she will do all you ask.

Ron Magen
