Nice look'n boat, Capt. John. Chances are the prop. is about
right- a bigger problem (as to speed) would be that the outboard
is probably a long-shaft model.

Jim Michalak is working on the drawings for the bigger AF4; should
be done within a month. About a 20% enlargment. I have seen
the cardboard model and it pretty much looks the same as the original,
just bigger. When my 18-footer rots away/ falls apart, it is
going to be a tough decsion as to what replaces it; an "AF4Grand"
or a "SkiffAmerica 20."

Hey, I don't see any purple in those photos!?

JB about his AF4

That was sort of my impulse regarding a Sneakeasy. I
am not a motorboat person, but kids just like having
fun, and don't always have long attention spans. It
seems to me that one can mix it up more off a
motorboat than a sailboat, or my first love, a canoe.

Finally, finally, months after I finished building my AF4 'Mr. Moon' will
hit the water either tomorrow or Sunday.

Since my motor is pretty much dead without a cash infusion, a wonderful
person whom I just met at a messabout a two weeks ago has loaned me his 7.5
Merc so I can go boating at least once this year. The motor came off of an
old Ranger 28 sailboat, so the prop is probably too low a pitch to push her
at optimum speed, but who cares! We'll report how it goes.
