Drift boats are typicaly 14-16'. At the length you
are after, you might look for a pram type boat, which
is pretty simmilar to a tender, of which there are
many plans floating around. Such a small boat isn't
going to likely provide the kind of kneebrace
stability you get in their larger bretheren, but would
probably be workable. The other option is some kind
of Kickboat. One popular type is basically a glassed
horseshoe of foam, with a light bar accross the open
end. Any number of anglers use these sort of thing
for river fishing. I once toyed with the idea of
making something simmilar out of two glassed sonotubes
as pontoons.
