Several months ago, there was an add in MAIB for a "free 23' sharpie".
Dave Bredehoff was moving from Mass. to RI and didn't want to take the
Anhinga with him. Trailer and motor were available for $$. From the
correspondence I had with him at the time, it seemed like it was a sad
experience all the way around--lots of dashed hopes, the builder didn't
get the boat he wanted/expected, the designer didn't see the boat built
as designed. I got the impression that that lack of rocker aft proved
to be quite a problem in terms of reliably turning the boat in certain
conditions. Maybe it's still available. . .

Don, I believe I started this thread as Subject: Anhinga. I would
love to trade for you plans but I don't have any unbuilt plans to
trade for them.

Andy.
I came in at the middle of this thread and haven't searched for the
originator.

I have plans for the Anhinga, plus an optional dipping lug drawing from PCB,
as well as a long correspondence file with Dave Bredehoff, the builder of
Sandy Bottoms.

I know I'll never build her, and I've looked at the plans as much as I might
want to, so they are for trade; my unbuilt plans for your unbuilt plans.

Cheers/Don Carron
