email MAIB

does anybody out there know if Bob Hicks can be reached by
email?
he gives an adress on his letterhead (officesupport@...),
but this does not work.

hannes

who is still in a state of shock after finding out that my overseas
(europe) subscribtion is going up by $41 to $77, of which $59 is
postage - arrrgh!
I will try to talk bob into sending the magazines not once a month,
but twice a year, which should bring costs back to an acceptabe
level.
john,

thanks for the update on your progress! sounds like we should
have a report on how bantam handles on the water soon.
I am just as curious as you about who&where the other builder is.
anybody knows?

hannes

p.s. did i get you right: you built the main hull in one piece and
then chopped off the bow piece?

have been working about15 hours aweek on bantam for 6
weeks now and is comming along very well. the center
hull is finished and removable nose cut off. very
light the 16 foot part weioghs about80 pounds
unglassed the nose maybe 25 pounds. the sides bottoms
and bulkheads for the two outer hulls are ready to be
assembled this weeekend so far nothing takes up more
space than a canoe in my caeport. everything very
light mostly quarter in ply about three sheets of
half inch. the plans in metric so i had to buy a ma
metric tape and just read the numbers the plans are
vdr very detailed eight sheets Znd took some studying.
i plan to launch as soon as the hull--s are together
and use it as a runabout pontoon boat on weekends
while finishing off the interio and cabin top and
sides the boat looks very promising and the plans up
to bolgers usual high standard keyed with numbers to
instructions anybody should be able to build one. when
bolger sent me the plans he said he had revised them
some changes to the cabin after a hands on visit with
the prototype builder but he didnt say who or whjere
that boat is bei ng built. im planing on powering her
with the same 9,9 yamaha i use on my modified idaho
tenessee but hope i can switch from the high thrust
prop to the normal high speed prop. i dont have the
high thrust motor so use a high thrust prop when i
power the 32 foot sharpie. it works wekll. john
