Re: [bolger] Re: Work #!?
I'm sorry I missed the original post(s) to which this seems to be an answer.
Could someone repost the originals and/or put this discussion in context?

<< Guess it's kind of being "Semi-retired" or something.
Never much got in the work as a priority thing.
It seems no matter how much anybody "Works" they never
seem to have "Enough".
Seems a lot of folks "Think" they have to work a lot more than
they "Want" to, but then they "Think" they need the 4 bedroom
house, and 3 new cars.
"I just don't have enough time to spend with the kids".
I just set my "Enough" at a modest place.
We've been self employed for a long time.
We work all the time, but never have to "go to work"
(the "Commute" is about 30 seconds if I don't stop
and smell the flowers.)
We were getting a little into the gotta keep working to
keep working thing for a while, but it was making me grumpy,
so we took stock of what we wanted to do.
Being a self employed craftsman, it's hard to "Speed up the line"
to make more profit, and I'm too picky to hire anyone.
Working was the most expensive thing we did.
Materials, tools, vehicles, deliveries, etc.
Everything we have is paid for so it's health insurance,
food, and taxes.
We don't eat much, and don't make enough to pay much taxes,
except retirment (a killer as self employed).
I think we're ahead of the health insurance deal after
Kay and my various surgeries. (Sure glad we had that)
I don't know, I have just worked all my life to be poor,
and I think I've just about got it.
Just wish I weren't so cript up, so I could enjoy it more.
Oh well, this too will pass.
Pat
