- With an eye on relative tire-temperature, lowering pressure a few will soften
the ride some.
- If trailer manufacturers and dealers can't/don't want to cater to your needs,
take the trailer to your local car/truck spring outfit (one/five in any metro
area...) for them to either find a thinner spring if mono-leaf. Or let them
take one spring out of a multi-leaf set-up to de-rate the trailer nearer to your
needs - keep spring for later adventures. They will be able to re-'bundle' any
multi-leaf-spring assembly.
During a batch of 20-ton dump-truck spring repairs, they may see you as a
nuisance but keep bugging them - likely cheaper than fractured boat. They also
're-arch' flatter older springs for more ground-clearance without added
harshness. Yes, it will cost money...
