Larry Our june bug is now a yawl after after being a lug ketch.
then we changed to a sprit main and lug mizzen .
mizzis allthe way aft witha retractable boomkin. the sprit for the
designed sail was used as the new main mast and a squarish spit sail
was made from poly tarpand glue. it drops in the originall mast step
and is boomless. pulls really well.
A small jib was added for the fun of it.
In a good blow we pullout the mizz , drop the jib, lay over the boat
almost to the rails and she hoots along .photos of the ketchcan be
found at yahoo groups "openboat, files, folding schooner in australia,
botany bay.
OK so Idont know how to do it properly.
It was heaps of fun making all this stuff. Windsprint would be
perfect to play with this kind of thing.
Cheers paul
No, but have you considered the new roll on pick-up truck bed liner
stuff. One is even water based, yet they all harden to a thick, tough
textured vinyl. Try Gator Guard or Rhino Liner availble at good truck
accessory stores.

Has anyone rigged a Windsprint as a yawl? Does anyone know where
there might be study plans for a Windsprint Yawl Rig?

Also has anyine ever used the old Caribbean trick of using asphault
drivway sealer to seal a leaky bottom on a wooden boat?
