[bolger] Epoxy: shelf life and cold weather
Hi all - yesterday I used again my epoxy, more than 2 years old. It
worked without any problem. Another good surprise was that, in spite of
the low temperature in my garage (10 degs C), it set up tack free in 24
hours. The only "tricks" I used was to worm up the plywood and the
resin before mixing. Now I have my two test butt joints (one is a
classical ply butt, the other is the Carnell/Payson fiberglass splice)
in my apartment to allow for full cure before breaking them...
Regarding the FG splice, well, it's much simpler than I expected, and
the finish is almost perfect already...
