stepped keels (like micro trawler)

anyone seen stepped keel designs like on Bolger's micro trawler used
for catamaran hulls? one of the disadvantages he lists is when one
of these heels, on a large cruising cat, that wouldn't be a problem.
some of his designs using sheet plywood might be replicated with
sheet fiberglass to speed construction.
