The design was for an individual, and as far as I know are not available
anywhere electronically since Ramon took down his web site. I have asked
him if he would like to contribute more, and will post same if he does.

Very cool.

I understand the point of a box keel when it comes to
a power boat, there are several points, but what is
the point of it for a sailboat? Why not just cut to
the chase with a plywood V bottom. It's kind of like
the rule of mixtures, you end up with that kind of
stability, more surface drag, and building complexity,
and an odd shape. This team hasn't proven bullet
proof on predicting stability so far, which would be
another worry. With Seven stars the box keel looks
rather deep, almost like a wineglass, or half way to a
fin, but its hard to really know since the pictures,
which are great, don't show amidship.
