Re: [bolger] Wyo, Mdo, & Lexan
Perhaps this is redundant but I'd talk to Noah's and see what they could do on 80 sheets of okoume or

been thinking the boat for me is sort of Illinois in concept, but
Wyoming in scale. Maybe this new layout is just the ticket?
If anyone can think of another boat that fits the above, please let me know.

I'd get a sheet or two and check it out before committing to 80 sheets. The
1/2"MDO in my boat was pretty good, but still a few voids and the wood was
not fir. It looks like luaun. The 3/8" was of much less quality with more
voids than I would like.

I could do the diesel as the newer layout for Wyo has an aft cabin as
the main sleeping quarters. Stuck with outboards and I don't really
mind that since they'd be redundant, no through hulls, and plenty of
power.
I had always thought that Lexan was softer than Plexiglass. The
local shop recommended Acrylic or Plexi over Lexan unless high
strength as in "bullet proof" was needed. I may be wrong though.

Strassel special lumber company. A place I didn't know existed.
Sells all kinds of nice stuff. Special order for 80 sheets gets me a
deal at $38.00 a sheet. It's finished 2 sides. Does anyone know if
this is a good price? It's actually $3.00 cheaper than Marine Fir.
