This sounds good to me. When will the plans for these boards be available?

William Jochems makes a point of seeing the leeboards - and
incidentally the forward part of #639's shoe - as a 'wear-item'. His
leeboard are of course the single-degree of freedom type, bolted to
bearing surface mounted off the hull; no penetration of leeboard-mount
bolt into the hull!
Whether the boards are used as de facto first line of defense
coming alongside somewhere, or, as he did when Susanne was on Lake Mead
with him, using them as parking-brakes for beaching overnight supported
by an anchor brought out a few yards up the beach, they are used as a
tool for utility rather than pretty ornaments. In shallow riverine
environment, leeboards would allow 'parking' the boat for a little for
a breather by facing upstream with boards digging into the
river-bottom. Again the bolted DOVEKIE type mount are required for
this. The MARTHA JANE upgrade will have that geometry. Bennett
Scheuer expressed interest for this type for his far-travelled "Stead
Fast".
He recently reported re-doing the shoe after two carefree seasons
of smoothing her onto gravel and sand for the night or beach-picnic.
The spirit of utility...
