AF3

I have plans for the Toon2 if you are interested. This is the
multichine version of the AF3. I didn't build it because I found
a Hartley TS16 fixer-upper cheap. Of course the Hartley
still needs fixer-upping...

I did write to Jim, but haven't yet heard back yet. I did not know
there was a Michalak egroup. I will check it out. I think Jim tends
to be very conservative on this type of matter, so I hoped for a
variety of feedback from folks ranging from conservative to ones as
nuts as me :)

Not sure of the wave and wind conditions in the Keys.

I have an AF2, AF3's big sister. I don't like to take it out in winds
over about 15 and waves over about 12". This is mosly personal
preference, it will handle quite a bit more in an emergency, but is
not comfortable or relaxing.

You might post your question to the Michalak egroup, or write the
designer himself, but I'm pretty sure AF2 is intended to be a lake
boat.

Would anyone care to comment on the capability of an AF3 to handle
various wind and wave conditions. Would an AF3 be suitable for
cruising the Florida Keys with two camping on board?

Can anyone give me the sail dimensions, so that I can determine if
any sails I have on hand might be suitable?
