cleaned out. I looked at the problem and conclude that it was a scase
of not enough wood and too manyscrews in a small space. i increased
the chine logs to 3" x3/4 over the area of the latches and over the
area of the cases. by glueing an exta 1 1/2 x 3/4 on the outside .
I then doubled my dimentions and thickness of material. Scrap

Lot of waffle and speculation lately gentlemen!
no opinions to offer, I just hope spring is early for you all.
GOOD NEWS my final sheet of ply arrived today so the bottom goes on
the folding schooner this weekend. witha quick weekend off to sail a
square rigger i should be painting a hull in a week.
Then find a drum of rope and some poly tarp and bye , bye
One of my daughters asked if we could go on the school of the air
when the boat was finished.
She had it in mind we were going to go camping for ever!
number 5 crew is due in a few months so it was a good idea to go 31'
for a first boat!
cheers all Paul
