Wyo roof design
The Wyo is built entirely different. Other than the end bulkheads there are only two transverse supports for the 1/2" plywood top making 3 sections from 6 to 7 feet long. There are two stiffeners that run full length about 24 inches in from each side that double as hand holds as you walk along the sides. Down the center an additional layer of 1/2 plywood 6" wide to reinforce the joint. That's it! If you where to walk on the Wyo's roof, I'm sure it would oil can up and down as you walked.
Aft and fore cabins are much stronger built with 54" headroom and could be walked on.
Bolger keeps the weight down as low as possible on the Wyo to make her capable of speed stability and the "brave" duck across open water. Compromising one for the other I guess.
I hadn't thought of the misc. poles, etc. you mentioned, great idea, thanks.
The rear (center?) cockpit is huge at 8'x 8' with two lockers 8'x2'and 2'3" tall. The floor space between the lockers is the same size as a sheet of plywood and raised 14" with access from both cabins. Very handy for many things that you mentioned.
Biggest problem with Wyo seems that you could easily overload her because of the storage space.
